Mr. Abdulrahman Alsowaidi, Charge D'affairs of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Asuncion met the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Paraguay, Mr. Fernando Griffith.

In Asuncion, the Embassy of the State of Qatar hosted a reception attended by numerous members of the Diplomatic missions accredited in Paraguay, politicians, ministers and officials of the Republic of Paraguay. Also attended various artists, journalists and musicians.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and means of developing them, in addition to discussing a number of current issues in regional and internacional affairs.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Paraguay through Resolution N° 903/17 granted an immediate tourist visa on arrival to the Qatar citizens with common valid passports.

They discussed their shared interest in further strengthening bilateral relations and the opportunity of a commercial trade between Qatar and Paraguay. Also, both sides exchanged proposals of companies which may be interested in being part of this initiative.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance relations between two countries, especially in the field of exchanging experiences in industrial and commercial sectors and encourage the visits of investors from both countries.
